It’s hard to imagine a bustling area as busy as Yaletown bears witness to many historical moments. As we enjoy the water view strolling along False Creek, we find six 12-metre bronze I-beam towers, each holding up metal plates with historical images of an seminal event in the area. Designed by Bernie Miller and Alan Tregebov and installed in 1997, the panels are arranged so that on the anniversary of that event, the sun will shine directly through the panel, casting a shadowed image on the street.
