Greater Vancouver’s Tallest Public Statue – The Drop

Do we need more rain in Rain City Vancouver? Next to the Vancouver Convention Centre at the start of the walkway leading to the Stanley Park Seawall, you will find a huge blue raindrop sculpture ‘The Drop’ created by a group of four German artists known as Inges Idee. This 20m raindrop is the tallest public art in Greater Vancouver. Many people have given this art creation their own interpretation. Some think this sculpture resembles a wind vane by the sea. Not only does art expresses the innovation of the creator, it also inspires a viewer’s imagination.
