Black and White, Pantone of Living Art

From a distance, the Digital Orca installed at Jack Poole Plaza next to Vancouver Convention Centre looks like a low resolution pixelated image of an orca jumping out of the ocean. If you walk closer, you will find that it is made up of hundreds of black and white aluminium cladded cubes with steel armature. The best time to view this sculpture is at sunset when sunrays shining on the harbour and mountains reflect off the metallic surface of the orca and the Convention Centre.
